PAYMENT TERMS USED BY AFFILIATE PROGRAMS

There are basically 3 payment terms used by affiliate programs to promote their products. These terms are as described below:

  • Pay per click- this method doesn’t necessarily need a sale for you as an affiliate to be rewarded. It will pay you for every referral link you redirect from your affiliate site to the merchant’s site. The payment per single click is never that much. However, with time as the number of clicks increase, your earnings also increase to a substantial limit. You however need to promote your link to ensure that more people use it to access the merchant’s site.
  • Pay per sale- in this case, you only get paid when the clients who access your merchant’s website do the actual purchase of those products through your link. As we discussed in my earlier blog, when it comes to this type of program, you need to major on the fast moving products if you would really want to realize a good outcome. By doing this, you will be assured of more sales which can be converted into more commission being sent into your account from the merchant’s sales.

  • Pay per lead- when it comes to this program, you get paid when a visitor accesses the merchants website and feels in his contact information. From the above listed payment terms, you have to choose the one that best suits you. Whether you can handle all or just one, make sure you give your all if you really want to realize a fruitful outcome.
Don’t under rate any of these payment terms. None is as easy as you may think. Your individual effort is called for. Maybe you can have a rest when your affiliate links have picked up and gathered more traffic. However for now, it is all work and no play that will make you smile in the foreseeable future. I hope this article has helped you in more than just one way. Will be waiting to hear your comments.
